Gas Hot Water Heat: Basically, this means you do not have a furnace. The entire complex is heated through a vented water heat system that keeps the condo plenty warm in the winter and the usage price and maintenance is included in the $125/month condo dues. This is a MAJOR cost savings.

Snow plowing, garbage, and water are also included in the $125/month condo dues.

LOW Electricity Usage: My typical monthly ComEd bill ranges from about $30 to $40 in the winter and up to about $100 in the summer when I use the air conditioning almost non-stop.

I have access to 2 additional storage units in the basement of the condo complex. I usually store paint, boxes, furniture, and other belongings in these units. The new owner will have access to these as well.

Laundry is available in the basement next to the storage units mentioned above.

The Machesney Park police station is within walking distance. Also within walking distance is the old Machesney Park Mall, which now offers JC Penney, Bergners, and Big Lots. A Burger King and Bank are also within walking distance.

Cats are allowed. Dogs cannot live in the building, regardless of their size.

If I could summarize this condo with a single statement, I would say that it is extremely inexpensive and low maintenance to own and has a vacation home feel because of the nice view of the rock river and surroundings. I work from home, and this condo has been a pleasure to spend most of my time.
